Exposure to others' trauma is toxic. The course is aimed at everyone involved in user research. It provides delegates with the skills to prevent the harmful effects of working with trauma; maintain psychological safety; and minimise harm to participants. Due to the impact of the pandemic; participants are likely to share sensitive content; putting all involved at risk of harm and re-traumatisation. The course includes interactive conversations on sensitive topics such as domestic abuse; human trafficking and bereavement; which may be challenging for some delegates. The course is co-facilitated by a trauma therapist to support the well-being of delegates.
