About the CPD course

This one-day online course aims to enable participants to recognise and make sense of the common dynamics that occur in a family affected by problematic drug or alcohol use. The course explores dynamics that typically occur within an individual family member; between a family member and their loved one who uses substances problematically; dynamics within a whole family affected by substance use; and dynamics that affect a family from society with particular attention to substance-related stigma and shame. The course includes a comprehensive handbook covering the training material as well as further information.
