Suicide Prevention 3 Day Training Programme

The Suicide Prevention Training Programme is a 3 day course for Qualified Mental Health and Learning Disability staff and Local Authority Partners with the aims to; raise awareness and increase understanding of suicidality and suicide risk; increase confidence and competence in identifying; engaging with; and assessing clients with suicidal thoughts and intentions & enhance suicide prevention interventions with clients and carers. This highly interactive course using a blended approach to learning (Teams and Face to Face). It incorporates the use of activities; videos; breakout groups; patient simulation and lived experience to enhance suicide prevention; intervention and postvention awareness; skills and knowledge. The training encompasses an ethos of shared learning and understanding for delegates attending the course.
