About the CPD course

The course has been created to support participants with information to meet the requirements of the Food Safety Act 1990; The Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995. It covers an introduction to food safety and hygiene; the impact of foodborne illness; food safety hazards and contamination; food poisoning; preservation; storage and temperature control; personal hygiene; hygienic premises and equipment and Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). Staff involved in food handling will have the knowledge of how to recognise and support good nutrition; fluid intake and food allergens (14 food allergens) as outlined by Food Standard Agency.
