Supporting children with a parent in prison who have witnessed domestic abuse
Training Course • Children Heard and Seen
About the CPD course
This training will equip participants with knowledge and understanding on the impact on children of witnessing domestic abuse. Participants will understand the impact of coercive control exerted by the perpetrator from custody: the impact of contact with service and how witnessing DA can impact on the behaviour of children. There will be opportunities to explore case studies and to consider what the participants and the organisations they work for can do to improve the experience of children impacted by parental imprisonment as a result of DA.
