Goals: To give an introductory professional overview; understanding and diagnosis of addiction; To give guidance to families and professionals on the familial interpersonal dynamics around addiction; and how they can best help both themselves and the family member. Outcomes; Increased awareness and knowledge about the process of addiction; both professionally and within the interpersonal realm; Increased confidence for family members to cope with; and for professionals to understand; the challenges of living with a family member with drug & alcohol problems.
