Parent Peer Support and Advocacy workshops for School Attendance Difficulties: "Have you tried a sticker chart?"

Define Fine is a parent/carer led peer support organisation with professional and lived experience; set up in response to the growing number of children and young people who experience school attendance difficulties. This includes emotionally-based ‘school avoidance’(EBSA) and other barriers to attendance including Special Educational Needs; including physical or mental illness; Bullying; Academic pressure; School environment. We share our successful Define Fine framework with Parent Carers and other Parent Carer Peer Supporters and Advocates to ensure parents are not alone and they feel supported and empowered to find solutions based on our Barriers to Attendance Guidance.
