About the CPD course
The AML course educates students about laws; regulations; and best practices for detecting and preventing money laundering. Students learn about the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002; anti-money laundering regulations; and the MLRO's role. The risk-based approach evaluates money laundering risks for different customers and transactions; and implements appropriate controls. CDD covers verifying customer identity and understanding their business relationships to identify and mitigate risks. The course also covers MLRO responsibilities; the role of financial institutions; and AML compliance.
