About the CPD course
This training is a requirement of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023) and should be updated every two years. It includes the role of all educators; particularly those with the Safeguarding Designated Person role. This workshop will explain the responsibilities of all educators and identify the role of the Designated Person and describe the key legislation and guidance that underpins safeguarding and will discuss how to respond appropriately to safeguarding and child protection concerns.
The Early Years Alliance is the largest and most representative early years membership organisation in England. We support early years providers to deliver quality, affordable and sustainable care and learning to families, and work to ensure that all children, regardless of background, are given the best possible start in life. The Alliance’s vision is a society where every child enjoys the same opportunity to learn through play. We believe families should be at the centre of policy-making and parents empowered to become more involved with their child’s learning and development.
