Designated Safeguarding Officer Training Level 3

The aim of this course is to provide the learner with an understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Designated Safeguarding Officer for ensuring compliance with an organisation's safeguarding policy. The learning module will cover: Understanding safeguarding structure and recognising the various levels of support needed; Introducing the law; policies and guidance documents for best practice in safeguarding; Recognising the roles and responsibilities of a Designated Safeguarding Officer; Understanding the role and purpose of the Child Protection Conference including plans and reviews; Responding to reports of abuse appropriately and efficiently ensuring that disclosures from children are handled sensitively and know when it's appropriate to share information.
