About the CPD course

Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) in schools has an important role to play in making sure that children and young people have safe; healthy relationships throughout their lives. As part of ensuring all pupils can engage positively with RSE; new statutory guidance says teaching must take the religious background of all pupils into account. However; this can be challenging where there are divergent beliefs; values and practices within schools and the wider community. Pupils and teachers bring their whole identities to RSE; including their gender; ethnicity and religion. How can we see this as a strength rather than a problem?

Faiths Against Child Sexual Exploitation (FACES)

We're a Luton based and volunteer-led Christian and Muslim partnership that’s been working to strengthen resilience in faith communities and enhance child sexual exploitation (CSE) awareness since 2016. We focus on offering training, running youth workshops and challenging misleading and damaging messages in the CSE discourse. As a faith-based organisaiton, we centre our values of compassion, justice, and peace throughout our work.
