About the CPD course
This intensive course details criminal exploitation and county lines methodology; signs; and symptoms. It equips participants to recognise modern slavery and trafficking; alongside other forms of extra-familial harms; risks and abuse. Learning is designed to strengthen front- and first-line practitionersÂ’ capacity to respond to children and families affected within the criminal and statutory frameworks. Participants work together to explore the dynamics and function of exploitation within multiple contexts to inform their assessment and determine meaningful intervention. We draw on systemic; contextual; and complex ideas. We promote curiosity and collaboration to support reflection and containment.
Future Voices advance front line responses to children, families and services affected by extra familial harm. Our services support the development of practitioners and organisational delivery through the use of research, data and best practice to inform responses.
We know that working to safeguard young people who suffer harm outside of their home is both complex and challenging. We assist services to tackle intersecting vulnerabilities including criminal and sexual exploitation, county lines, modern day slavery, serious youth violence and radicalisation.
