About the CPD course
This article offers GPs support and guidance in improving a patients quality of life with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) through appropriate management in Primary Care. IBS is one of the most common functional gastrointestinal disorders seen in primary care. Digestive health problems are increasing and are often triggered by lifestyle factors. IBS has a significant impact on a patients quality of life and mental health. GPs are usually the first port of call; with some IBS patients attending appointments 8-10 times per year.
