About the CPD course
This is an interactive course designed to be fun and informative. The course is half a day; inclusive of a short refreshment break. There will be opportunity for lone activities; feedback; and group interaction. This course is designed to raise awareness of Mental Health which will include an overview of Mental Health conditions; signs and symptoms; and how poor Mental Health can affect areas of our lives. The course then concentrates on how we can focus on our own Mental Health. This includes a variety of coping mechanisms and ways in which we can reduce stress; manage our own emotions; and create happiness and contentment.
We are a unique charity, delivering programmes which reduce reoffending, tackle homelessness and feed communities. Our workshops and partner employers offer training and employment opportunities for ex-offenders to develop skills and secure full-time work ready for release. We also offer wrap-around support for men and women to secure stable housing, manage finances, rebuild relationships and more.. Our facility offers safe, supportive accommodation from which men receive personal support and undertake training and work placements. Developing their skills, confidence and resilience, residents then move into work and their own home.
