About the CPD course

A risk assessment requires the identification of workplace hazards and an evaluation of the risks they present. The purpose of a risk assessment is to establish whether the level of risk arising from workplace activities is acceptable; or whether additional measures are needed to control hazards to further reduce or remove unacceptable risks. The programme includes the following: Identification of all present hazards; Decide on the possible hazard-related consequences and who may be harmed; Evaluate the risks and decide whether existing precautions are adequate or require improving; Record the findings; Review and if necessary revise the assessment in future.
