About the CPD course

A communicable disease is one that can spread from one person to another. The term covers a wide range of diseases; from chickenpox and the common cold to tuberculosis and HIV. Whilst they obviously range in severity; the ways we can avoid them in the first place and prevent or minimise the spread are relatively similar. It would be impossible to cover every kind of communicable diseases in one course. We will therefore focus on those that you are more likely to come across as a foster carer and the diseases and infections most commonly spread in nurseries and schools.
