About the CPD course
This course is aimed at extending the Designated Safeguarding Lead's existing knowledge around managing Online Safety risks in schools and will examine how children are using technology and the responsibilities that DSLs have to governors; teachers; children; parents and the wider community in ensuring that children are supported in staying safe whilst online. It will look at the potential uses and implications of new technology and how to counteract problems when faced with them. It will explore how DSLs can influence others using various techniques to drive safer internet messages. The course will also address the rationale and strategies for implementation of best practice to help to build and sustain online safety knowledge across the school and wider community.
