About the CPD course
Domestic abuse is an emotive topic. It is not linked to a specific gender; race; age or sexuality; anyone can be a victim. The definition of domestic abuse is ‘any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling; coercive or threatening behaviour; violence; or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are or have been intimate partners or family members regardless of gender or sexuality'. This course explores what domestic abuse is; the different types of abuse; the affects and support available. What would you do if someone disclosed that they are a victim? Would you know how to respond?
