Respectful Restrictive Engagement course provides a programme which focuses on a safe and positive outcome for individuals who can present with behaviours that can challenge. Behaviours that present; verbally; non-verbally and physical. Our focus is within the education; health & social care; and wider community settings. Our PRIDE philosophy promotes care built on strong philosophies of collaboration; empowerment; safety; and respect; which reflects the latest professional; legal; and ethical approaches. The course explores the functions of individuals behaviours and how staff can incorporate positive; person-centred primary; secondary and tertiary strategies to reduce the need for non-restrictive and restrictive physical interventions.
