On Cloud Nine® explores the sensory-cognitive processes for maths computation and word problems. Participants will learn the role of dual coding with imagery and language in the acquisition of maths; especially applying concept and numeral imagery to mathematical reasoning; acquisition of maths facts; application to computation in addition; subtraction; multiplication; division; decimals; fractions; and development of ability to solve word problems. Appropriate for all ages of students. Information and techniques are gained through discussion; demonstration; video; reading; and supervised practice allowing participants to learn Socratic questions to develop sensory-cognitive functions; and integrate the On Cloud Nine® steps into any curriculum or math programme.
