Neuropsychoanalysis is coming of age and after over twenty years of work there seems to be an increasing interest in its clinical implications. Neuropsychoanalytic approaches to neurological patients have been successfully reported in books and case reports in journals. There has been slower growth of the literature in relation to non-neurological patients. This workshop will create a space to develop ideas about how knowledge in neuropsychoanalysis is affecting clinical work and psychoanalytic technique; and what considerations can influence publishing clinical reports. Documenting progress; experiences and questions is a crucial task that will help to research and develop the topic.
The Neuropsychoanalysis Association is an international network of non-profit organizations that support a dialogue between the neurosciences and psychoanalysis. Based in New York City, London, and Cape Town, we provide resources for clinicians, researchers, students, and the general public, including our journal, conferences, research grants, and educational programs.
