The IPG’s Autumn Conference is an award-winning day of speakers and workshops that supports independent publishers’ professional development and knowledge. It takes place at London’s Shaw Theatre and online on Tuesday 17 September 2024. The programme has around 20 different keynotes; plenaries; case studies; breakouts and workshops; hosted by experts from within publishing and further afield. The theme of this year’s event is ‘Getting Stuff Done’; reflecting the emphasis on practical skills and tips that delegates can apply to their everyday work. Top themes include the impact of AI; financial management; sustainability; accessibility; literacy; book distribution and author relationships.
The IPG supports around 560 members who have a combined turnover of £500m a year and who make enormous contributions to creative excellence and innovation in the UK.
We supply our members with vital information, practical advice and great ideas to help them grow and prosper. We represent their interests in the wider publishing industry. And we provide a friendly community in which independent publishers can share knowledge and experiences.
