The National Asylum Seekers and Refugees Forum 2024

04 Dec 2024

About the event

The Government’s latest quarterly immigration statistics highlight a significant rise in asylum seekers in the UK; with over 87;000 individuals seeking asylum in the year ending March 2024. Notably; more than a third of these asylum claims were from individuals arriving via small boats. As border crossings continue to escalate; this conference will examine the new Labour government's priorities in enhancing border security while ensuring that vulnerable individuals receive adequate support; integration and care. Collaboration with local communities and organisations is essential to providing robust support and accessible services.
