17 Dec 2024
About the event
Pulpitis is inflammation of the dental pulp; typically caused by caries or injury. It has two types: reversible pulpitis; where pain occurs with a stimulus and stops once removed; treatable with conservative methods to preserve pulp vitality; and irreversible pulpitis; involving severe; persistent; or spontaneous pain; often requiring extensive procedures and pulp removal. Managing pulpitis is challenging due to patient stress and the need for tailored treatment. This presentation aims to help dentists diagnose pulpitis accurately; manage pain effectively; and select appropriate treatment plans; including insights into a new pulpitis classification and corresponding treatment options.
