Happy staff happy patients HOPE network meeting

15 Mar 2017

About the event

The HOPE network has been running for 2 years and in that time has grown to include over 200 members. The network is open to people working in NHS trusts or clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) whose role includes significant responsibilities for patient experience. It offers peer learning and support to members by hosting three meetings a year and sharing resources. Through the network; members are able to meet with others in similar roles facing similar challenges; the meetings also provide an opportunity to hear from experts in the field and to learn from innovations and best practice. The meeting on the 15 March is called ‘happy staff; happy patients’ and aims to help members understand the links between; and overcome the barriers to improving; staff and patient experience. Research shows that staff engagement; staff morale and the quality of relationships between staff who interact with patients and their families determines the quality of patients’ experience of care. Members will hear from a number of experts and will also have an opportunity to share their own experiences/learning with one another in a ‘learn; borrow; steal’ session
