PANS PANDAS UK in collaboration with the doctors from the PANS Physician’s Network are delighted to welcome some of the UK’s most experienced PANS and PANDAS doctors to this Study Day in Glasgow addressing the diagnosis; aetiological processes and treatment of children and adults affected by PANS and PANDAS.We invite you to attend this study day in order to develop your awareness; knowledge and skills regarding these highly complex and poorly understood medical conditions.
PANS is a neuropsychiatric condition which is triggered by a misdirected immune response which results in an inflammation of a child's brain. PANDAS is a subset of PANS. Similarly, it is a neuropsychiatric condition which is triggered by a misdirected immune response to a Streptococcal infection which results in an inflammation of a child's brain.
PANS/PANDAS UK provides support to families of children with PANS/PANDAS. We aim to raise awareness of an easily treated, often misdiagnosed condition in kids.
