We have been asking our members from across the industries the reasons why they became a CPD provider. This CPD Member case study was provided by Mindfulness Exercises. For more information, please visit their CPD Member Directory page.

Please provide us with a brief overview of your organisation. What do you do?

Mindfulness Exercises is an online platform that shares free and premium resources for mindfulness practitioners and mindfulness meditation teachers alike. We were founded by Sean Fargo in 2014 with the intention to help people live with embodied presence, compassion and resilience. Among the natural outcomes of a mindful life is the desire to share mindfulness, and the benefits you’ve experienced, with others. Our self-paced Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training Programs are for meditators, professionals, coaches, therapists, social workers, yoga teachers, parents, school teachers and anyone interested in learning how to teach mindfulness in professional contexts with confidence, compassion and credibility.

Why did you become a CPD provider?

Anyone can share mindfulness with others. Current professionals such as doctors, counselors, therapists, teachers, and others in helping roles may especially benefit from learning how to teach mindfulness to individuals or groups, in both casual and professional settings. Our online, self-paced offerings are uniquely suited to the busy professional who would benefit from deepening their personal mindfulness practice, and the skill, compassion and confidence with which they teach mindfulness and guide meditations.

How did you implement CPD accreditation in your organisation?

We promote our Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training Programs and accompanying courses as CPD-accredited and benefit greatly from the trusted accreditation service The CPD Certification Service provides. Teaching mindfulness is a largely unregulated field. Those with a Mindfulness Exercises teaching certificate can rest assured that our courses, the content therein, and the requirements necessary for certification have been deemed appropriate by a 3rd party professional organization.

How has CPD helped your organisation achieve its learning objectives?

We are continually refining our offerings based on what today’s professionals need to more confidently, skillfully and compassionately share mindfulness meditation with others. The inquiries we receive through the CPD site have helped us ascertain what is valuable and most needed for those who would benefit from learning to guide others in meditation.

We hope this brief CPD Member Case Study was both interesting and helpful. Please go to the Mindfulness Exercises CPD Member profile page for more on their available CPD.
