About the CPD course

This online course will help you understand the basic concept of sterile compounding USP 797 and 800; such as pharmaceutical preparations and universal precautions such as hand washing; complete garbing; or proper hand washing. You will learn LAF - laminar airflow hood; such as cleaning the laminar flow hood; horizontal flow hood; and vertical flow hood. This course will demonstrate sterile compounding pharmaceuticals preparations in two parts. You will pharmacy maths concepts such as solute; solvent; solution; percentages; allegation and dilution; and therapeutic dose versus lethal dose. By the end of the course; you will have an knowledge of compounding pharmacy math; laminar air flow hood (LAF); universal precautions; and compounding sterile pharmaceutical preparations.
