About the CPD course

The course will explore the complexities of identifying indirect disclosures of domestic abuse; aimed at contact centre teams within local authorities and housing providers and work on the phone. The course will cover signs that may suggest domestic abuse is present and give learners the skills; tools and confidence to act on professional curiosity and safely ask about domestic abuse and pass concerns on to the relevant team. The course will also cover how to validate and respond to direct disclosures of domestic abuse as part of a coordinated response to domestic abuse.

The Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) was established in 2014 as a partnership between Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse (STADA), Gentoo and Peabody housing associations. We are the leading specialist domestic abuse organisation offering training suitable for local authorities and social housing providers to improve their response to domestic abuse. We use our practice-based experience to work alongside partners across the housing and domestic abuse sector to influence policy and national decision making through our DAHA-led National Domestic Abuse & Housing Policy and Practice Group.
