Identifying Domestic Abuse in Housing

Training Course Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA)

About the CPD course

This beginner level course explores the many indirect ways domestic abuse can be identified in housing. Housing officers have a unique opportunity to identify domestic abuse before it becomes a high-risk situation. Delegates will consider what forms domestic abuse can take and how this links with rent arrears. We will discuss noise complaints and anti-social behaviour (ASB) reports from neighbours; and how to identify domestic abuse when it is reported as ASB. This course is suitable for community safety teams; housing management teams and tenancy sustainment officers.

Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA)

The Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) was established in 2014 as a partnership between Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse (STADA), Gentoo and Peabody housing associations. We are the leading specialist domestic abuse organisation offering training suitable for local authorities and social housing providers to improve their response to domestic abuse. We use our practice-based experience to work alongside partners across the housing and domestic abuse sector to influence policy and national decision making through our DAHA-led National Domestic Abuse & Housing Policy and Practice Group.
