About the CPD course

This course explores the many indirect ways domestic abuse can be identified in a housing setting e.g.; rent arrears; repairs; noise complaints; and ASB. This training will help delegates to identify coercive and controlling behaviours and consider the impact of living with abuse from a partner; ex-partner or family member. The training is grounded in the message that every interaction is an opportunity for an intervention and will upskill housing officers to give them the confidence to act on their professional curiosity; safely ask about domestic abuse and offer a helpful response.

Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA)

The Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) was established in 2014 as a partnership between Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse (STADA), Gentoo and Peabody housing associations. We are the leading specialist domestic abuse organisation offering training suitable for local authorities and social housing providers to improve their response to domestic abuse. We use our practice-based experience to work alongside partners across the housing and domestic abuse sector to influence policy and national decision making through our DAHA-led National Domestic Abuse & Housing Policy and Practice Group.
